What better place to hold an education event than at a school? Apple’s March Event took place at Lane Tech College Prep high school in Chicago at 10am today (4pm BST).

In essence, the new iPad looks like its predecessor but has a new Apple A10 Fusion chip that makes it faster than the Chromebooks and Windows laptops with which it competes. It also builds in Apple Pencil support that opens a whole new world of creative learning opportunities.
The new iPad 9.7 will be available to
pre-order today and ships this week. It costs £319 for the 32GB Wi-Fi model and £449 for the 32GB LTE model. A 128GB Wi-Fi version costs £409, or £539 with LTE.
US pricing for the
new iPad is set at $329, with schools getting it for $299. That’s for the 32GB model, while the 128GB version costs $429 for Wi-Fi only or $559 with LTE.
Students will also get 200GB iCloud storage for free.
