What Sony announced at CES 2018
Sony had already announced three mid-range mobiles for the show: the
Xperia XA2, XA2 Ultra, and L2, which are most interesting for their super-wide angle selfie cameras – the XA2 Ultra even featuring dual selfie cameras.
Here is a full list of what Sony announced:
- OLED and LCD 4K HDR TV series
- Dolby Atmos Soundbar
- 4K Ultra Blu-ray player and AV receiver
- Compact Single soundbar
- Wireless noise cancelling sports headphones
- MDR-1AM2 Hi-res headphones
- High-Power Audio systems
- EXTRA-BASS wireless speakers
So yes, we have to wait for the rumoured
Xperia XZ1 Premium, expected to be the company’s first bezel-less smartphone – and potentially the first to signal broader changes to the company’s design language and naming conventions for its phones. Sony typically waits to announce flagship phones at MWC, which looks to be the case here too. Maybe even a wait till IFA in Berlin in September.
